From Wildfires to Wildflowers: How Embracing Anger Can Lead to Embodiment and Empathy
A Talk by Erin Schwind MHC (Board certified), CCTP (The Sarah Society & Samson House)
About this Talk
We feel helpless when faced with a raging wildfire. All we see is what has been lost or what can be lost in the fire. We equate charring to death and a burned-over landscape may appear desolate of life, but it quickly becomes an ecosystem brimming with life. Fire followers are specialized plants that emerge in areas scorched by fire and begin the growth cycle once the fire is out.
Your life may be scorched by the firestorms of loss. Your soul might be exposed to the emotional drought of isolation found in your grief. Your heart could be frozen by the bitter wind of shattered dreams. Come learn how acknowledging and channeling the raging fires of anger in a constructive manner can contribute to the growth of wildflowers of hope and resilience.
